Sawing machines are available with three different types of cutting tool.

hacksaws
Hacksaws are equipped with a straight toothed blade. Cutting is performed with a linear reciprocating movement of the blade. Hacksaws are utilised in metalworking shops, mainly for cutting tube, or in timber yards.

bandsaws
Bandsaw blades are formed of a continuous band tensioned and driven by two opposing pulleys. Bandsaws are capable of cutting a wide range of different profiles.

circular saws
Circular saws cut by means of a disk with teeth around the diameter.
Circular saws are utilised to cut small and large size parts.
